une partie de la riviere fut detournee vers la rive est pour augmenter
le debit d'eau alimentant le
barrage. Cette canalisation necessita l'excavation par dynamitage et
creusage de plusieurs milles de tonnes metriques
de terre et de pierre sur l'ancien site du moulin a scie Maclaren,
dont les ruines subsistaient toujours a l'epoque.
